The aim of this book has been to cover LT buses and trolleybuses in unrebodied form that were withdrawn before 1970 and which were put to further use. Routemasters are therefore excluded and, wherever possible, the earliest available material, the bulk of it shot contemporaneously and previously unpublished, has been used for rarity value. It is unlikely that such a collection of colour material, gathered from Britain and overseas, has ever appeared before.
