After the end of the Second World War it soon became apparent that the enforced pause in the replacement of trams by trolleybuses was to lead to a change of policy in favour of diesel buses. This volume deals with the story of the London trolleybus from it's peak in the early post-war years until final withdrawal in May 1962.
