This DVD traces the story of the Central Line, from its opening in 1900 to the present day. Using archive footage supplied by the London Transport Museum, we see the bulding of Holborn station and the opening of post war extensions as well as the building of the new booking hall at Oxford Circus.
The latter part of this programme covers much of the present day scene, including the more interesting aspects of rolling stock, infrastructure and station architecture, including the Waterloo and City Line, now part of the Central Line Business Unit.
