In this DVD, we trace the story of the Northern Line, from the opening of the City & South London Railway in 1890. Using stills and archive film, supplied by London Transport Museum we see the CS&L Railways distinctive rolling stock being pulled by diminutive electric locomotives. The story also covers the Hampstead Tube, and the various extensions and links that were built to create todays line.
