The LTM furniture collection

London Transport Museum launches its new range of beautifully designed furniture which is custom made to order in collaboration with Pavilion Rattan, an established and highly regarded furniture manufacturer based in Derbyshire. All wood used in the manufacturing process comes from sustainable sources. We offer a unique service using our famous public transport seating fabrics, known as moquette.

What is moquette?

Moquette is a particularly versatile and hard wearing material, predominantly wool with a small percentage of polyester. The fabrics are still woven in Yorkshire, using traditional techniques that are required to match exacting standards. Moquette is renown for its hard wearing, durable and fire resistant qualities which makes it ideal for any home or business environment.

A selection of fabric designs as used on London’s transport vehicles and within the rebuilt London Transport Museum is available for your selection and a brief history of each moquette design is explained in the virtual fabric swatch section.  From time to time both fabric and furniture designs may be added or discontinued. We regret however, that moquette cannot be supplied on its own.

Each upholstered item is made specially to order, and delivery takes up to 6 weeks. Please see details of this under the Manufacturing and Delivery Conditions.
