The first ever London 2012 collectable - a limited edition replica London bus - goes on sale on 31st October 2009, as part of the celebrations to mark exactly 1000 days to go until the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games. The bus is a copy of the red London Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 bus, the latest bus used by Transport for London, which featured in London 2012's handover segment in the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Games.
Created by London 2012 licensee Corgi, this finely detailed 1:76 scale die-cast limited edition bus goes on sale for the first time at London Transport Museum. Only 5000 have been made and each comes with a certificate of authenticity.
