London Transport's RF type (AEC Regal IV with Metro-Cammell bodywork) was the Capital's principal single deck bus from the early 1950s until the early 1970s. Some were used on London Transport's long distanced Green Line network. In the mid 1960s London Transport decided these long distance vehicles looked dated. Cosmetic modifications were made to the body to make them look more appealing to passengers. This vehicle is in modernised form.
London Country was a company formed to take over London Transport's country area and Green Line services and the model is in this operator's later corporate livery. This models registration number is LYF 377, fleet number RF 26 on route 434 to Edenbridge via Troy Town.
