George Bradshaw (1801-1853) was a cartographer and initially only published canal maps. His passion for maps resulted in large folded copies being included with each volume. Most were lost or damaged so here they are reprinted in over lapping segments herein for posterity.
Bradshaw's timetables soon became iconic and an essential part of nation's life. They have been admired ever since and here is an opportunity to savour aspects of life in the glorious 19th century. This issue includes railway timetables, coastal steamers, omnibus connections and fascinating advertisements.
