This programme, using a mixture of photographs and film that was shot between the mid 1970s to 2010, takes a look at London Underground's Central Line - a rural Essex branchline between Epping, North Weald, Blake Hall and Ongar.

We take a ride in the cab of a 1962 tube stock train from Epping to Ongar in the summer of 1990 and then thoroughly explore the branch from the lineside. We see the last week of tube trains running and witness the very last Underground train to depart from Ongar on Friday 30th September 1994. The railway was then sold to a private company, however it was not until 2004 that a DMU passenger service ran between Coopersdale and Ongar. We explore the route once again, but this time compare past views with current scenes to see how much or how little has changed over the past few years.

With an informative commentary, visual graphics and over 55 minutes of exciting train action, this is a show that you won't want to miss!
