Limited edition Oyster Card holder, signed by Thomas Heatherwick
Heatherwick Studio have created a new Oyster card holder for Transport for London which takes its inspiration from the New Bus for London. The New Bus, launched in early 2012, was designed by Heatherwick Studio who harmonised the interior design of the bus and developed iconic new features such as stairs, lighting, hand poles, stop buttons and bench-type seating.
Heatherwick Studio have cleverly reworked the Treadmaster flooring used on the New Bus into a stylish cork and rubber Oyster card holder which has an organic look and feel and is signed by Thomas Heatherwick.
The card holder has been produced as a limited edition run for the London Design Festival 2012.
