Notes: London Transport had a limited requirement for double deck buses with low height bodies (for use on busy routes passing under low railway bridges). A particular feature of these and other 'lowbridge' buses was a 'passage' in the offside
of the upper deck allowing access to 4 seat benches. These buses were unpopular with crews and passengers and were eventually mostly replaced by single deck buses. Most of the small fleet of buses were used in the country area and were painted Lincoln green
and cream. Unusually for London, the the RLH type were nearly identical to buses supplied to various provincial operators. Route 336 ran between Watford Junction and Chesham and served Watford, Croxley, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and Chesham Metropolitan line
stations.
