About this model:
When the Metropolitan Railway electrified its main line to Harrow, it ordered 20 electric locomotives to haul its fast trains to the City. These engines were built by British Westinghouse in 1904–6. They were the first electric locomotives to be used on main line passenger trains in Britain.
