This year Transport for London and the London Transport Museum celebrates the ‘Year of the Bus’. It’s been 60 years since the creation of the iconic Routemaster, 75 years since the launch of the RT-Type bus and 100 years since the world’s first mass-produced motor bus, the B-Type ‘Battle Bus’.
On Sunday 22 June, Regent Street Bus Cavalcade will help celebrate a number of anniversaries that recognise the role of the London bus. Visitors will be able to explore around 30 buses spanning the last century, which range from the Horse Bus through to the latest New Routemaster.
A range of gifts and souvenirs inspired by London’s iconic bus fleet are available from the London Transport Museum Shop.
