London' is Andy Spencer's new limited edition screen print for Transport for London, exclusive to London Transport Museum. A typographic tribute to the city he calls home and the enduring design of its most iconic brand. Tipping it's hat to Milton Glaser's classic 'I Love NY' and giving Edward Johnston's typeface and roundel centre stage, this beautifully simple yet strikingly bold print is destined to become a modern classic.
Andy Spencer is an independent artist and designer and long time collaborator with Transport for London (TfL) based in Broadstairs, Kent. His artworks mix traditional print methods with modern and surprising arrangements, all with a nod to the classic and beloved posters of TfL's past. His knowledge of TfL's design heritage is paramount and he also worked in London Transport Museum's design department for some time.
