This graphic poster designed by Aldo Cosomati was published by the Underground Electric Railways Company in 1928. It is promoting the fare price of 4d from this Underground Station post at Holloway Road to the following popular destinations; St James’ Park, Oxford Circus, Waterloo, London Bridge and Marble Arch. Aldo Cosomati designed posters for the Underground Group between 1922 and 1928. Aldo Cosomati was born in Italy at the end of the First World War. He lived in Zurich for five years where he studied printing, drawing, bookbinding and furniture design. He specialised in commercial art and designed many iconic posters for London Transport.
