Highgate, by Oliver Burridge, published by the London County Council Tramways circa 1925 depicts the hustle and bustle of highgate high street as a tram moves through it. The picturesque buildings which line the street all appeal to views of the poster as destinations waiting to be explored. Oliver Burridge designed at least 2 posters for London County Council Tramways in 1925. In 1945, Burridge became a founding member of London Typographical Designers, but moved on quickly to manage his family’s printing business before his death in 1954.
