A fascinating Illustration imagining the future of London in 2026 designed by Montague B Black in 1926. The sky is filled with a variety of flying vehicles including blimps. There are 'London Bridge Air depot' 'Air Taxi', 'Gravity gas Co. Ltd' and 'Mars stores' sky scrapers. The city is depicted at sunset. Montague B Black designed posters for the Underground Group in 1926. Montague B Black was a poster artist, painter and illustrator. He was educated at Stockwell College, London. Around 1910 several of his paintings were registered at Stationers Hall for commercial use and are now at the Public Record Office at Kew. Montague Black lived and exhibited in Liverpool in 1912. During World War Two he worked for the Toronto Star. He also produced work for the White Star Line and is known for the poster maps he designed for the railway companies including the LNER (London North Eastern Railway) and British Railways.
