A panel poster produced to advertise the Boat Race at 12.30pm on March 27th in 1926, which was designed by F H Stingemore, for the Underground Electric Railway Company Ltd. This detailed map of the Thames course shows all the view points on the river and the underground stations to which to travel to reach these points. F H Stingemore worked for the Underground Group from 1919 and went on to have a distinguished career with the Group. He designed several posters and went on to produce maps and illustrations for the company’s publications, for example; ‘London’s Country’. He was appointed as the personal draughtsman to Frank Pick and became the Head of the Commercial Drawing Office.
