As part of London Transport Museum's Poster Art programme, London's Riverside was chosen as one of the topics to be represented in 2017. A poster for the little known but stylishly modern Barrier Park near the Thames Barrier, and the more sedate Richmond riverside, were chosen to represent two outer London areas through which the River Thames flows.
Esther Cox is a graphic artist based in Brighton, England. Her work focuses on illustration and textile design. Colour and pattern are guiding forces in both her professional and personal practice where the handmade and accidental are celebrated. An exploratory approach has seen her work applied from books to set design in just a few years of professional practice. She was shortlisted for the Association of Illustrators Prize 2015.
Esther Cox is an artist interested in the flow and tension between colour, shape and texture. She creates intuitive imagery and rhythms, playing to the inbuilt human instinct for pattern recognition, identity and symbols.
