This poster, Piccadilly Circus – The Heart of London, promotes an exhibition which took place at the London Transport Museum from May to November 1989. The illustration is a cut-away diagram of Piccadilly station. It shows the layout of the station underground with all the tunnels, escalators and platforms and the above ground view of Piccadilly Circus, including Eros and the surrounding streets. This type of illustration is often referred to as a 'stomach diagram', since it shows the 'inners' of the station. The poster gives information on the opening times of the Museum. Gavin Dunn was a student at Falmouth College of Art when he was commissioned by London Transport Museum to design this poster.
