This cheerful poster, of many colours, has balloons highlighting the many varied options of visitor venues in London. It was designed by Victor Galbraith in 1958 to promote cheap evening return tickets to visit; cinemas, shops, music venues, circuses, the ballet, lectures and restaurants! A simplistic representation of a London pigeon with the underground roundel is shown as the pigeon’s eye.
Victor Galbraith designed posters, leaflets and Christmas cards for London Transport between 1957 and 1966 before emigrating to Australia in May 1966.
