Brightest London (Clubs) was one of four posters commissioned from Virginie Morgand to celebrate London's nightlife. The other images featured Bars, Cinemas and Restaurants. Originally the images were to follow the opening of London's first night tube, but delays to the starting dates for the new services forced a revision of the titles from 'Night Tubes serving London's Nightlife' to the more prosaic but still pertinent 'Brightest London'.
Size: 25 X 40 inches (63.5 X 101.5 cm) approximately
Based in Paris but working occasionally in London, Virginie’s background is in animation but, having learnt how to screen print at L’atelier Dupont, she developed her own visual language as an illustrator working to brief for a growing number of clients. Recent projects include campaigns for L'Occitane, J.Crew, Champs Élysées Film Festival, Le Meridien, Transport for London, Barneys in New York, Lyft, The Grand Palais, Mairie de Paris, Martigues music and dance festival, children's books for Wide Eyed Editions and MeMo, illustrations for Le Bon Marché, Little White Lies, New York Times, Les Inrocks, and The Sunday Times. Virginie has recently exhibited solo shows in Paris, Portugal and the UK.
